A General Radio Operators License, better known as GROL, is required to adjust, maintain, or internally repair FCC licensed radiotelephone transmitters in the aviation, maritime, and international fixed public radio services.
The GROL is, by far, the most popular certificate we offer accounting for more than 80% of all commercial radio operator licenses issued by the FCC. The FCC GROL is an important credential to solidify your knowledge and skill in the realm of aviation, marine, and land mobile communications.
Many industries require it if you are an aviation and marine electronics technician, Captain of a small ship, or a tech repairing and maintaining aircraft, ship, or land-based radio equipment or marine RADARs.
